STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Joni King from Clark Magnet High School in La Crescenta and teacher Dominique Evans-Bye stopped by KCAL9 Monday to discuss how their team was first place in the Lexus Eco Challenge!

The competition, for teens in grades 6-12, encourages students from across the country to make the world a better place by improving the environment.

The Riptides, the team from Clark Magnet High School, was one of the first place teams and took home $25,000 in scholarship money.
