Police Nab Alleged Knife-Wielding Suspect In Long Beach
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a woman accused of wielding a knife at a Long Beach police officer was taken into custody on Saturday night.
Nancy Pratt, a spokesperson for the Long Beach Police Department, says officers responded to the 1100 block of Walnut Avenue following an 11:05 p.m. call of a person with a knife.
"Moments later, an OIS [officer-involved shooting] occurred, however, the suspect was not struck by gunfire," Pratt said.
No officers were injured.
Pratt said the suspect was taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
