SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — A 10-year-old girl was critically injured Saturday in a fall at a park in San Pedro.

The unidentified victim reportedly fell 15-20 feet down a cliff at Point Fermin Park, according to authorities.

The accident was reported around 3 p.m. near Sunken City Trail, said Brian Humphrey, spokesperson for the LAFD.

The girl was reportedly walking with family when she fell off the cliff and hit her head on some rocks, said Humphrey.

The victim was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.
