By Deb Flomberg
You may live on the coast, but how many times have you actually had a chance to see the variety of marine life up-close? The Aquarium of the Pacific is a fantastic way for you and your children to get up close and personal with the huge variety of fish and other marine life that live in this stunning environment. Your kids will have a blast exploring all the different areas, and you’ll even find yourself having a great time as you wander the aquarium, learning and marveling at this other world.
The Aquarium of the Pacific is home to more than 11,000 different animals plus so much more. In addition to all the huge tanks filled with every type of fish or marine life around, you can also learn a great deal at the Ocean in Motion exhibit. This fun exhibit is part of the Ocean Science Center and your kids will have a great time watching the videos and learning about the ocean ecosystems and what can be done to preserve the marine life.
Or just wander the 19 major habitats and 32 different focus exhibits that explore the life in the waters near southern California and Baja as well as the Northern Pacific and the Tropical Pacific. Your children are also sure to love checking out the Shark Lagoon and the June Keyes Penguin Habitat as they learn more about some of their favorite animals. Also, be sure to stop by the Molina Animal Care Center to see how the many different animals are cared for in this 1,800 square-foot home to veterinary medicine.
For this fun trip, make sure you have plenty of room, since you’ll be bringing the whole family and probably a few friends as well. Set out in the 2013 G550 SUV from Mercedes-Benz of Encino. You’ll have all the room you need to bring everyone along, as you all set out to learn a lot about the marine life of the Pacific. Plus, everyone will be thrilled to arrive in such style, as they all enjoy the comfort and elegance that only a Mercedes-Benz can provide.
