Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 18)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We are looking at some warm dry conditions for our inland communities for the next couple of days.

Temperatures will exceed 100 degrees.

Valley temperatures will hover right around the century mark and it will be in the 80s in the basin. The high pressure dominates through Friday.

The temperatures will pull back slightly over the weekend, but we will replace the hot temperatures with higher humidity.  That means it will start feeling sticky.

By Sunday enough of the monsoonal moisture moves into the Southland to warrant a chance for thunderstorms mainly in the mountains and deserts, however we can't rule out a stray shower in the LA Basin.

The instability remains in place through Tuesday.  The atmosphere should settle down by Wednesday.

Basin -mid 80s

Beaches - upper 70s

Valleys - upper 90s to near 100

Mountains - low 80s

Deserts - over 100
