Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 16)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — If you liked yesterday, you're going to be very happy today.

We have a very similar day on tap with highs near average.  That puts us in the low 80s in the basin and mid to upper 90s for our valleys.

We are still watching the area of low pressure near Texas that continues to rotate monsoonal moisture into the lower half of the United States.

You can expect a general warming trend into the end of the week and into the weekend.

On top of some warmer temperatures, we are also getting geared up for higher humidity and a chance for thunderstorms and flash flooding Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The monsoonal flow will solidly return over the weekend.

Things should settle down by the middle of next week.

Basin - low to mid 80s

Beaches - mid 70s

Valleys - mid 90s

Mountains - upper 70s to low 80s

Deserts - mid to upper 90s
