Police Search For Missing 12-Year-Old Boy In Culver City

CULVER CITY (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a 12-year-old Culver City boy who went missing over the weekend.

Elijah Gurubel was last seen around 8 p.m. Saturday near Washington Boulevard and Beethoven Street after walking to a convenience store with his brother, according to Capt. Ron Lizuka of the Culver City Police Department.

The brother returned home and told his mother that he would see Gurubel again when school started, said Lizuka.

Gurubel was described as African American. He was wearing blue jeans with a blue shirt.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts was encouraged to contact Culver City police at (310) 837-1221.
