PERRIS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said a 29-year-old Corona man was shot to death Saturday outside a Perris home.

Michael James Brown was killed by a shotgun blast around 11:35 p.m., according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Buompensiero.

The victim was found outside a home in the 1900 block of Murrieta Road.

Deputies called to the scene said they found the victim on the front yard of a residence.

Brown was taken to Riverside County Regional Medical Center. He died about an hour after sheriff’s deputies were called, the sergeant said.

No arrests have been made, Buompensiero said.

Officials asked anyone with information to call the sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit at (760) 393-3500.
