28-Year-Old Big Bear Lake Man Charged With Sex Crimes Against Underage Girls
BIG BEAR LAKE (CBSLA.com) — A 28-year-old Big Bear Lake man was charged Wednesday with numerous sex crimes against two young girls.
Samuel Kardos was charged with six counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child and two counts of sex or sodomy with a child under 10 years old, according to the San Bernardino County district attorney’s office.
On June 15, deputies with the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station responded to a call of reported sexual offensives committed by Kardos at a residence in Big Bear Lake.
Detectives later discovered that Kardos allegedly sexually molested two girls on multiple occasions over a period of several months in 2012.
At the time of the investigation, Kardos was behind bars on unrelated charges at West Valley Detention Center. He was subsequently booked on the unlawful sex charges.
The suspect remains in custody in lieu of $2 million bail and is expected to be arraigned Thursday.
