SB 215 Freeway Through Perris Reopens After Accident
PERRIS (CBSLA.com) — The southbound 215 Freeway in Perris, which was shut down Tuesday following an accident involving a mobile home trailer, has been reopened.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. at a bridge that was under construction near D Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig operated by Mobile Modular Transport was hauling the mobile home when it hit the bridge.
The big rig driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Motorists were advised to avoid the 215 Freeway and use State Route 74 (Ramona Expressway) from I-15 in Corona as an alternate during the hours-long closure.
