SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Saturday said an early morning fire in the city of San Bernardino has displaced two people.

The San Bernardino City Fire Department received multiple calls of the fire which broke out at 2:46 a.m. on W. 19th Street.

Upon arriving on scene, firefighters noticed smoke and flames originating from a bedroom window.

A department statement says crews, including 4 medic engines, 1 truck company, and 2 Battalion Chiefs, were able to contain the fire to that one room.

Two adults were treated at the scene by paramedics and were released. Officials described their injuries as “minor.”

The cause of the fire, which resulted in more than $50,000 in damage, remained under investigation.

Officials said the Red Cross was assisting the displaced individuals.
