Man Allegedly Pours Gasoline In House, Threatens To Set It On Fire With Girlfriend Inside
BANNING (CBSLA.com) — A Banning man was arrested Sunday for allegedly pouring gasoline in his house and threatening to set it ablaze while his girlfriend was locked inside.
Amador Dean Bates, 37, was booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning and charged with attempted arson and illegal use of a flammable liquid. He was released Monday after he posted $5,000 bond.
Around 9:55 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a report that Bates said "he was going to set the residence on fire with his girlfriend trapped inside."
Authorities forced their way into the home, found the uninjured victim and chased Bates down near his home in the 900 block of West Cottonwood Road.
