2 Brothers Accused Of Running Marijuana Grow House In Eastvale

EASTVALE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities announced the arrest of two brothers for allegedly running a marijuana grow house in Eastvale.

Officials said they seized 278 marijuana plants, 65 pounds of processed pot, $4,000 in cash, mushrooms and other drug-related paraphernalia, a sergeant said.

A sheriff's drug task force received a tip about the house located in the 14400 block of Saline Street, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Justin Rowan.

Authorities said the home contained a dangerous butane extraction mechanism used to make large quantities of concentrated cannabis.

Two men were found inside the dwelling and identified as brothers Gabriel Roger Minkie, 29, and Jacob Aaron Minkie, 27.

It was not immediately known if the brothers also own the house.

The Minkies remain in custody in lieu of $100,000 bail.
