RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A Nordstrom store at the Galleria at Tyler was locked down for several hours Friday morning following a robbery.

A 911 caller reported a robbery in progress on the third floor of the store at 10:01 a.m., according to the Riverside Police Department.

The suspect, who said she had a gun, handed a note asking for money to an employee, the department said.

However, no gun was ever displayed and no injuries were reported.

Roughly a dozen patrol cars responded to the scene while authorities searched the store, according to CBS2’s Derek Bell, who was overhead in Sky2.

No other details were immediately available.
