In the world of art galleries there are many different types to visit. Some focus specifically on sculpture or just on paintings, while others lean toward only modern works or classical pieces. And the Annenberg Space for Photography is a gallery that is specifically dedicated to the art of photography in both digital and print format. Any art or photography lover is sure to find something to love here, with a lot of great exhibits touring through the space every year.
A visit to the Annenberg Space for Photography will showcase both high-definition, state of the art digital technology as well as traditional prints. Many local photographers as well as some of the world’s most renowned photographers exhibit their work in this beautiful gallery. Even the gallery itself is modeled after a camera. As the architect, AECOM Design, explains, “The central, circular digital gallery is contained within the square building to create an architectural metaphor for a convex lens. Even the ceiling features a striking, iris-like design that is reminiscent of the aperture of a lens.”
The Annenberg Space for Photography usually exhibits three different shows per year, changing about every three to six months. You’ll find many reasons to come back to his spectacular gallery again and again, as you peruse each exhibit and enjoy the amazing photographers that showcase their work. If you are really interested in the art of photography then you also must check out the IRIS Nights Lecture Series, offered every Thursday evening. You’ll get a great insider view of the current exhibit plus some fascinating lectures by notable experts and featured photographers.
A trip to the Annenberg Space for Photography is made even more perfect when you set out in your 2014 E63 Wagon from Mercedes-Benz of Encino. You’ll love being able to arrive in style and you’ll enjoy the total luxury and elegance that you get when riding in this exceptionally stylish wagon.
