Man Shot In Robbery Allegedly Set Up By Woman He Dated

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Sunday said a 30-year-old man was shot during a robbery allegedly set up by a woman he was involved with.

The victim reportedly drove himself to a Shell Service Station on Manchester and Western avenues in South Los Angeles after being shot in the stomach.

He told gas station employees to call authorities. The shooting was reported at 10:57 p.m. Saturday. The location of the shooting was not known.

Upon arriving on scene, paramedics transported the victim to California Hospital Medical Center where he underwent surgery. He was listed in critical but stable condition.

Police said the victim was expecting to meet a woman he was romantically involved with after receiving a call from her but instead was shot by a man. Police believe the victim was set up possibly by the unidentified woman.

The investigation is ongoing.
