Police Identify Victim In Orange Deadly Domestic Dispute

ORANGE (CBSLA.com) — Police identified Friday the woman who was fatally shot in a domestic dispute outside of an apartment she shared with her alleged domestic partner.

According to Orange police, 35-year-old Jessica Gonzales shot and killed Jennifer Roberta Solorio, 44, Thursday afternoon in the 2000 block of E. Palmyra Avenue.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Solorio bleeding on a sidewalk near the apartment complex. She was transported to a local hospital where she died, officials said.

Neighbors said the Gonzales fired four shots at her partner.

"Jessica and Jennifer have been together 13 years and Jennifer  had a friend over for like, two days. She thought that she was cheating on her," neighbor Edgar Lopez said.

Witnesses said there was another woman with Solorio at the time of the shooting who was waiting for the victim in a car as she tried to run from the complex with a box of clothing.

Gonzales, who was last seen running from the scene, is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, approximately 90 pounds, and is considered armed and dangerous.

Police could only confirm that the women knew each other.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Scott Trausch at (714) 936-1204.
