Kings, Queens, Brave Knights And Dinner At Medieval Times
By Deb Flomberg
The world famous Medieval Times is one of the best places in town to enjoy dinner and entertainment perfect for the whole family. You will all have a wonderful time enjoying all the jousting and other entertainment, and you are sure to enjoy the delicious meals and make lots of great memories as a family.
The entertainment at Medieval Times is always a lot of fun. Take ringside seats as you watch a huge battle of bravery and honor with real, live jousting, amazing horsemanship and even falconry. Yes, the brave knights ride their trusty steeds, all raised at the Medieval Times’ Chapel Creek Ranch. The horses lead wonderfully pampered lives as performers before retiring out on the ranch for a life of luxury.
Of course the food at Medieval Times is fit for royalty as well. Your feast will include roasted chicken, spare ribs, tomato bisque soup, potatoes, and the pastry of the castle. It’s a huge meal filled with all the meat that a brave knight would need to battle on the field (though vegetarian meals are available as well.) While you are there, you’ll also get to enjoy watching the royal court and the royal falconer as he showcases a live show with the royal falcon, as the brave bird soars high overhead, recreating a traditional ceremony.
Make sure to check out the gift shop for lots of fun things to take home, too. Pick up your own woodsman cape or splurge on a Merlin Dagger or Double Axe, or you can even get a full suit of armor. Though those may be a bit extravagant, so you can also pick up toy versions with a wood shield or sword, all are perfect to take home for your own little brave knights to stage play battles.
Make this evening with the family memorable and set out in the 2014 E350 Sport Wagon from Mercedes-Benz of Encino. It’s the perfect wagon as you can fit the whole family comfortably as you all cruise in style towards a fun evening of jousting and fantasy. Plus, it’s roomy enough that you’ll have the room should you decide to take home that huge suit of armor from the gift shop.
