Grand Park in Los Angeles is often called “the park for everyone” and it takes just one visit to see why that is. Located in the heart of the city, this urban park is perfect for anyone, just about any activity, and is easily enjoyed year-round. Grab a picnic lunch, a few friends, and head down to enjoy the beautiful California weather while you take advantage of this impressive park.
Grand Park has four specific areas, each offering different amenities. The Arthur J. Will Memorial Fountain is perfect for the kids, as they can wade in and cool off, splashing around and enjoying the pool. Then there is the smaller performance lawn, which is great for smaller bands or live shows, movies at the park and other smaller events. The community terrace is the third area with a lot of drought tolerant plants that are designed to represent the diverse cultural landscape of the city of Los Angelese itself. Lastly is the grand event lawn, with a larger stage perfect for bigger outdoor concerts and other huge festivals.
The event calendar at Grand Park is booked year-round, with a lot of fun activities for the whole family. You’ll find lots of live theatre and musical-style dance or sing alongs, and every Tuesday you can go shopping in the Downtown Farmers Market at Grand Park. The Los Angeles Ballet often holds outdoor shows here, and there is always a concert of block party just perfect for a warm summer night.
If the big events aren’t for you, just grab a lunch and a blanket and head out to relax and enjoy this wonderful park. The best way to enjoy this fantastic park is to set out in the 2013 SLK350 Roadster from Mercedes-Benz of Encino. It’s the perfect car to arrive at the park in style, letting you cruise down the highway with the top down and the wind in your hair as you get ready to enjoy a day of rest and relaxation at this delightful urban oasis.
