What is the best way to get amazing views in California? Sure, there are lots of great beaches with impressive panoramas or you can go to the top of some very tall buildings in downtown Los Angeles. Bt one of the most unique ways to glimpse views of the state is to book some time with Torrey Pines Gliderport and experience the ultimate flight and the most spectacular views possible.
At Torrey Pines Gliderport you can go on a tandem paragliding or hang gliding adventure. As one of the oldest forms of flight, hang gliding is the perfect way to experience the thrill of soaring high above the Pacific coast. Paragliding is a lot newer, but has less restrictions and is easier for beginners to pick up. Both types of flight are offered year-round, depending on the winds. In lighter wind, paragliding may be the only option, however if it is a particularly windy day, you may be able to choose from either. Once you become a pro, you can even sign up for classes in paragliding or hang gliding, so you can become an expert flier and try it on your own.
While you are there, take in a delicious meal at The Cliffhanger Cafe, located on the sea cliffs above Torrey Pines. It is a stunning place to enjoy a meal, and all of the paragliders and hang gliders take off right in front of the outdoor dining area, so you can enjoy the views as well as watch the other gliders as they take off and soar above the ocean.
Make this fun recreational day even better by heading out in the 2013 G63 AMG SUV from Mercedes-Benz of Encino. You’ll enjoy a luxurious drive and you’ll have plenty of room for your whole family or several friends, as you all head down for a fun day of high flying adventure.
