VALENCIA (CBSLA.com) — A 69-year-old registered sex offender has been accused of following and videotaping young girls in Los Angeles County.

Yale Yurman was taken into custody around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and was being held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on $150,000 bail, according to authorities.

Detectives initially investigated a report of a man, later identified as Yurman, following and taping a girl at a Target store located on Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia.

A search warrant was subsequently served at Yurman’s residence in the 23700 block of Hickory Court in Valencia on Wednesday, where evidence was recovered that showed the suspect had been following minors at three locations in the Santa Clarita Valley–a Target store, a Walmart and the Real Life Church—and at the Santa Monica Pier.

Yurman was expected to appear in court Friday.
