Jurors Hear Paris Jackson Give Bizarre Nanny Account
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Testimony in the Michael Jackson wrongful death trial against AEG Live continued Wednesday and featured a deposition from the late singer’s daughter.
Jurors heard testimony from Paris Jackson that was recorded in March, in which she claimed her father disliked former nanny Grace Rwaramba because she “lied a lot”. Rwaramba was fired two months before Jackson’s death.
Jackson also alleged Rwaramba once called a hotel where Jackson was staying, claimed to be his wife, and ultimately gained entry to Jackson’s room.
“They’d let her in and he’d wake up, and she’d be, like, in his bed,” Jackson said.
Former personal chef Kai Chase testified on Tuesday that Paris was devastated by her father’s death.
Katherine Jackson’s negligence suit against AEG Live alleges the entertainment conglomerate negligently hired, supervised and retained Dr. Conrad Murray as the personal physician for her pop superstar son.
Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication while under Murray’s care in June 2009.
