1 Killed In Solo-Vehicle Crash In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — One person was killed in a solo-vehicle crash in Hollywood early Tuesday morning.

The accident happened on Highland Avenue near Melrose Avenue just before 4:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to police, the unidentified driver lost control of the vehicle which rolled over, hit the center divider and collided with a tree. The car then caught on fire.

Highland Avenue was closed between Melrose and Orange Drive as authorities investigated the crash.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
