Julian, California is one of the more quaint towns in all of Southern California. This lovely historic district is home to a the Butterfield Bed and Breakfast, a small, five-room inn that is tucked away in the scenic beauty of Julian. There are three acres to explore, with beautiful panoramic views of the countryside, and the inn just happens to be within walking distance of lots of great things to see in town.
Take a trip to the Butterfield Bed and Breakfast and you’ll feel like you are being welcomed by your own family. Three of the rooms have wood-burning fireplaces, and all of them come with a delicious homemade country breakfast served in the garden gazebo. Make sure to spend some time appreciating the lovely collection of antiques spread throughout the inn, and take advantage of the Back Porch Pantry, where you can enjoy plenty of snacks, coffee, cider, tea, popcorn and other desserts. You’ll also want to make reservations to enjoy a romantic horse drawn carriage ride from the Inn into the town of Julian. You can go for dinner or just for a lovely trip to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
When you head into Julian to explore, you’ll find a lot of different things to enjoy. You can peruse all the different shops that are found along Main Street, including lots of charming restaurants and wineries or even schedule a tour of an old gold mine. If you’d like to venture for even more exploring, you will also be close to the Anza Borrego Desert State Park and the Palomar Observatory, or even the San Diego Wild Animal Park.
As you set off to enjoy your weekend at the Butterfield Bed and Breakfast, make sure you drive there in style. Head out in the 2013 SLK55 AMG Roadster from Mercedes-Benz of Encino. This beautiful roadster is perfect for a romantic trip or a quick weekend getaway. You’ll love being able to put the top down as you cruise along the highway with the wind in your hair, heading to a truly memorable destination.
