In a place as modern and thriving as Los Angeles, it is easy to forget just how many historic locations exist throughout the city. One of the most popular and bustling areas of the city is Exposition Park, with its own unique and lengthy history. Today, Exposition Park is one of the most popular attractions in Southern California with more than four million visitors every year. Both tourists and locals alike enjoy all the different things you can do in Exposition Park, so make sure to take advantage of this fantastic destination.
Exposition Park was founded in 1872, originally as an agricultural park and boasted 160 acres for the Southern District Agricultural Society. It wasn’t until 1913, however, that the park welcomed the big tenants that make up Exposition Park today. The original four were the National Armory, The California Museum of Science and Industry, Domed National History Museum, and the Sunken Gardens. There have been some major events at Exposition Park throughout the years, including John F. Kennedy’s Presidential acceptance speech at the 1960 Democratic National Convention, two Olympiads, two Superbowls, and the World Series.
Today, a visit to Exposition Park can highlight many different activities for you and the whole family to enjoy. Visit the African American Museum or browse the Science Center. Get in a workout or go swimming at the Expo Center, or watch an educational film at the Imax Theater. You can go for a stroll in the stunning Rose Garden, explore the Natural History Museum, or take in a sporting event at the Sports Arena or the Coliseum. Clearly, there is so much to do that you’ll probably need more than one trip (and most like seven or eight trips.)
So for a fun location like Exposition Park, you’ll want to make sure to travel in style. Arrive in the 2013 CL63 AMG Coupe from Mercedes-Benz of Encino. It is the perfect car to help you arrive at this great destination in the style and class that only a Mercedes-Benz can provide. Plus you’ll enjoy traveling in pure luxury and comfort, enjoying the ride that you get from your Mercedes-Benz.
