Man Injured In Drive-By Shooting Near Nogales High In La Puente
LA PUENTE (CBSLA.com) — Officials Monday were searching for a suspect in a drive-by shooting that injured a man near a school in La Puente.
Detectives responded to a shooting call around 10:05 a.m. in front of Nogales High School at 401 Nogales St.
The injured victim, who was shot inside a black Honda Civic, was taken to a local hospital. Their condition was not immediately available.
The school, which started summer classes Monday, was placed on lockdown at 10:40 a.m. for a short time while officials searched for a suspect in an older model Cadillac.
No suspect description was given.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, which was being assisted by the West Covina Police Department, shut down Northam Street while they investigated the incident.
