LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — San Diego Chargers legend Shawne Merriman was hospitalized briefly over the weekend after attending a Hollywood nightclub.
Merriman, a three-time NFL Pro Bowl linebacker, was at The Colony nightclub Sunday when he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai around 9:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Times reported.
The 29-year-old tweeted Monday morning that dehydration prompted his hospitalization.

Merriman was drafted by the Chargers in 2005 and spent five seasons with the Bolts. He spent the last several seasons of his career with the Buffalo Bills before announcing his retirement in March.
