Dr. Conrad Murray Reaches Out To Paris Jackson

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A day after learning she attempted to commit suicide, Dr. Conrad Murray reached out to 15-year-old Paris Jackson Thursday.

From his jail cell, the doctor made a statement through his attorney explaining a nearly four-minute long message he left on Paris' phone.

Dr. Murray wrote, "From where I sit, all I have to give is love. I love Paris with all of my heart and I just want her to be well and happy. Upon hearing the news of her current crisis, I was gravely affected. I reached out to her through my statement to let her know that I care deeply about her, and I always have, and I always will. She will continue to be in my prayers."

TMZ.com reported Murray called Paris via pay phone from Men's Central Jail saying among things, "I've always been there for you. I've never been gone."

In the audio tape, Murray also says to Paris, "You are not alone," -- one of her father's song titles. He also said, "I too love you, as a precious father loves his own child."

He also lauded the teen for reaching out to him in her deepest moments of grief. "It was you who came to console me," he said, "I was touched by your compassion and your grace."
