LA Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of Girlfriend's 11-Year-Old Son

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 26-year-old Los Angeles man was charged Wednesday in the stabbing death of his girlfriend's 11-year-old son, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Rineson Curtis Adams is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles Superior Court on one count of murder with a special allegation of personal use of a deadly and dangerous weapon. He also faces one count of felony child abuse in connection to the May 27 killing.

The suspect has three prior felony convictions, including two for transportation and sale of a controlled substance in 2008 and 1996, and one conviction for burglary in 1996, according to the criminal complaint.

If convicted, Adams faces up to 64 years to life in prison.
