Convicted Felon Wanted By Authorities After Making Violent Threats Against School Children

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities asked for the public's help Monday in locating a man they consider to be extremely violent and an imminent public threat.

Frank Edward Edmonds, 40, is wanted on a warrant for a parole violation and a pending battery case, the LA County Probation Department said.

Officials say during a recent confinement at the UCLA Harbor General Mental Health Facility, Edmonds made "several disturbing comments to staff that he was thinking about killing school children and then ending his life in a suicide by cop scenario."

Edmonds' last known address is in Inglewood and he is known to also frequent Compton.

His prior convictions include assault with a deadly weapon, battery, resisting arrest, forgery, DUI and vandalism.

"His recent threats and prior history of violence make him a person of interest by the Los Angeles County Probation Department and Inglewood Police Department," officials said.

He is described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Edmonds has several identifying tattoos on his right hand, both arms, chest, back and abdomen and on the right side of his neck.

He is also known to go by the names of Russell Robinson and Dee Robinson, according to authorities.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the LA County Probation Tipline at (855) 563-7725.
