Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 17)

STUDIO CITY (CBS2) — The on-shore flow has strengthened this morning, and that's translating into more low clouds.

The deeper marine layer has even spawned a few isolated drizzle reports this morning.

Temperatures are going to drop a couple of more degrees today.  We are anticipating a nice rebound for the weekend.

High pressure is nudging in behind this trough and that will bring slightly warmer temperatures for Saturday with more warming on Sunday.

The high peaks on Monday with highs in the 80s in the basin and mid to upper 90s for the valleys.  Then another trough moves in for the middle of next week with more unseasonably cool weather.  But, for now enjoy the weekend.

Basin - low 70s

Beaches - upper 60s

Valleys - mid 70s

Mountains - upper 50s

Deserts - mid 70s
