Verbal Altercation Turns Physical And Then Deadly In Acton

ACTON (CBSLA.com) —  Sheriff's Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man in Acton Wednesday afternoon.

The murder occurred just before 2 p.m. in the 1500 block of Eagle Butte Road.

Investigators believe the victim and the suspect got into a verbal confrontation which turned physical and then deadly.

The victim is reportedly a 39-year-old white male. The suspect is a 56-year-old white male.

The suspect allegedly shot the victim once in the upper torso.

LA Sheriff's Deputies and LA County Fire Paramedics both responded but the victim was declared dead at the scene

The suspect was taken into custody, without incident, by detectives with the Palmdale Station
