TARZANA (CBSLA.com) — One person died Tuesday after a car crashed into a pole in the San Fernando Valley.

The crash occurred around 11 a.m. at Burbank Boulevard and Etiwanda Avenue in Tarzana, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A male occupant in his 30s was found dead at the scene, according to the LAFD.

The vehicle was described as a 1995 BMW, according to clerical records.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
