Missing 13-Year-Old Oxnard Girl Found Safe

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in Oxnard say a missing 13-year-old girl has been found safe.

Samantha Torres had been missing since May 4.

She was found Saturday around 7 p.m. walking near the Costco in Oxnard.

Oxnard Detective Luis McArthur wrote in a statement that the eighth grader was recognized by a passerby.

He added, "The girl was located after a lengthy police investigation and she is now reunited with her family. The Oxnard Police Department and the girl's family thanks the public in helping to find her."
