ARCADIA (CBSLA.com) — San Gabriel Valley police Wednesday were looking for an "electric blue" Mitsubishi wanted in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed a motorcyclist.

The accident happened shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of West Foothill Boulevard, Arcadia police said.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the motorcyclist "was down and severely injured; the other involved party fled the scene in the automobile," Lt. Bob Anderson said in a statement.

The unidentified rider was treated on scene and transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police are looking for a blue Mitsubishi vehicle, possibly a Lancer, that has passenger side collision damage.

Anyone with information on the accident should contact the Arcadia Police Department at (626) 574-5151.
