'Flashdance-The Musical' Dances Onto The Stage In Costa Mesa

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Relive the magic of "Flashdance" live on stage!

Jillian Mueller, who plays Alex Owens, and Matthew Hydzik, who plays Nick Hurley, visited the KCAL9 studios Wednesday to talk about "Flashdance-The Musical" taking place at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa.

The musical tells the inspiring story of Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel mill welder by day and a bar dancer by night, with dreams of one day becoming a professional performer. But when romance with her steel mill boss threatens to complicate her ambitions, Alex learns the meaning of love and its power to fuel the pursuit of her dream.
