Transgender Woman Accused Of Soliciting Sex From 15-Year-Old At 'Do-It Center'

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A transgender woman Wednesday faced child annoyance charges after she allegedly attempted to solicit sex from a 15-year-old boy.

Cristina Novelo, 52, was arrested on April 26 at approximately 4:30 p.m. after allegedly stalking the victim in the parking lot of the Do-It-Center at 2417 Sycamore Dr., according to Simi Valley Police.

Police discovered that Novelo was actually a man dressed as a woman after her arrest.

Novelo, of North Hills, was driving a red 2006 Toyota Avalon 4-door vehicle.

The Simi Valley Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident or any similar events to call the Simi Valley Police Department's Detective Unit at (805)583-6906.

Police also reminded residents to be suspicious of all persons whenever they are randomly approached for any reason in a public place.
