Robbery Suspect Dies After 2 Officer-Involved Shootings In Downtown LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A robbery suspect died Tuesday morning following two officer-involved shootings in downtown Los Angeles.
At 9:25 a.m., an armed suspect entered Green Apple Market at Fifth and Wall streets, according to the LAPD.
An undercover officer happened to be in the store at the time and approached the man, who then fled the store.
An officer-involved shooting occurred outside, but it was unknown if the suspect was hit at that time, according to Sgt. Rudy Lopez.
The man then ran into two uniformed officers, who fired at him.
The suspect was hit and died at the scene.
An LAPD station is across the street from the location of the first shooting.
