5 Hospitalized After School Bus Crash In Ontario

ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) — A school bus was involved in a traffic collision in the city of Ontario Tuesday, leaving four children and one adult injured, authorities said.

The crash near Euclid and Schaefer occurred sometime around 1:15 p.m. when a passenger sedan collided with a truck in the middle of the intersection and spun out into the side of the bus, according to the Ontario Fire Department.

A total of five people were in one of the vehicles involved in the collision, including an adult female, a 10-year-old boy, a 9-year-old boy, a 5-year-old girl, and a 4-year-old girl.

It was unclear if any of the injured were aboard the bus during the time of the crash.

One of the children is in critical condition, according to KCAL9's Tom Wait.

All were transported to a nearby hospital with severe injuries.

No other details were available.
