Police ID Mercedes SUV In Valley Glen Hit-And-Run

Hit-and-Run Leaves Bicyclist Seriously Injured by Los Angeles Police Department on YouTube

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police released video Friday of a vehicle believed to have been used in a hit-and-run incident last month that left an 18-year-old pedestrian dead.

On March 24 at approximately 6:30 p.m., David Alexander Granados was riding his bicycle on Bellaire Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle traveling west on Oxnard Street in Valley Glen, according to LAPD Valley Traffic.

Granados was seriously injured and transported to Holy Cross Hospital, where he later died just days after his 18th birthday.

The suspect is believed to be an older male of unknown ethnicity who was driving an older model silver or grey Mercedes Benz ML at the time of the accident.

An 11-second video clip posted on the LAPD's YouTube channel shows the SUV speeding away from the scene.

Anyone with information on the driver or the vehicle is asked to contact LAPD Valley Traffic Division at (818) 644-8063.
