Car Theft Suspect Wounded In Officer-Involved Shooting In San Gabriel
SAN GABRIEL (CBSLA.com) — A car theft suspect was wounded early Friday morning after a pursuit and an officer-involved shooting in San Gabriel.
Two male suspects allegedly stole a truck from a 711 store in El Monte around 4 a.m. when officers spotted the truck driving westbound on I-10.
"The truck gets off the freeway, hits a few cars, then a minute or two later it was a pursuit and the truck finally stops," Lt. John Corina told KNX 1070's Margaret Carrero.

One of the suspects got out of the truck and surrendered to police while the driver drove off again.
A brief pursuit ensued and ended around 4:40 a.m. on Leslie Drive near San Marino Avenue.
Officers began shooting at the suspect when he reportedly refused to get out and started backing the truck up.
He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
No officers were injured.
Sheriff's Homicide Detectives are assisting the El Monte Police Department in the investigation.
