2 Drivers Wanted In Hit-And-Run Crash That Critically Injured Girl, 4

LOMA LINDA (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday released photos of the vehicles involved in a hit-and-run that left a 4-year-old victim in critical condition earlier this week.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the drivers of a stolen black Ford Mustang and an orange sports car with a gray hood. Police say the cars were racing when the black Mustang broadsided the family's green Chevy Malibu on Monday.  The driver of the Mustang stopped to check on the family before fleeing on foot, and the orange sports car sped off.

Carlie Rodriguez was the only one hurt when her family's car was broadsided by the black Mustang. She remains at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital with bleeding and swelling of the brain.

Christina Perez, the victim's aunt, asked the public to pray for the family that "this story would be a testament of that; of faith and hope and forgiveness."

"That's all we're looking for," said Perez.

The victim's aunt said that the family hopes the story can be one of a miracle recovery, telling KCAL9's Stacey Butler that the family has already forgiven both drivers.
