Josh Rubenstein’s Weather Forecast (April 23)

STUDIO CITY ( — We are waking up to low clouds once again this morning, but there are some subtle changes to the forecast today.

A weak northeast wind is kicking in this morning which is translating into some gusty winds for the high desert. That wind is skipping right over the marine layer, nevertheless we will get some better clearing today.

There is a new wind advisory that starts at 6 a.m. through 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The off-shore flow is short lived and we will be entrenched in the marine layer again tomorrow morning.

By Thursday, that cut-of low that has been spinning off-shore finally moves overhead. It will help to bring us some light drizzle or a scattered shower. But the totals will barely add up to a trace of rain.

By Friday we will rebound back with some hazy sunshine.

Basin – low to mid 70s
Beaches – upper 60s
Valleys – low 80s
Mountains – low 70s
Deserts – mid 80s
