'Suspicious Backpack' Prompts Evacuation Of Walmart In Rosemead
ROSEMEAD (CBSLA.com) — A Walmart in Rosemead was evacuated Monday after a suspicious backpack was found outside the store.
Police were called to the 1800 block of Walnut Grove Avenue around 4:50 p.m. in response to a call about an alleged threat.
A sheriff's bomb squad immediately shut down the retail store.
A robot detonated the backpack, which was later determined to be harmless.
