Woman Delivers Slice Of Support To Those Affected By Boston Marathon Bombings

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — An Orange County woman is giving a slice of support to those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings in an effort called "Random Acts Of Pizza."

Elizabeth Koseares said she started having pizzas delivered to police and fire departments, shelters and hospitals in the Boston area, hoping it would be one less meal they would have to worry about after all they've had to endure this week.

Reddit.com helped Koseares by providing her with names and addresses to the local agencies. She then called up a local pizza restaurant who was on board to make the deliveries.

"It meant a lot to people, even though you know it's just pizza, but any kind of kindness or support really goes a long way," Koseares said.

In her blog on Reddit, Koseares has recruited 16,000 people across the country to help support her goal.

"This has really taught me the kindness of the human spirit and that a good idea, with a little initiative, goes a long way," she said.
