San Fernando Valley Residents Report Smelling Mulch Fire Burning In Ventura County

VENTURA (CBSLA.com) — Residents of the San Fernando Valley reported being able to smell a mulch fire burning in Ventura County Thursday evening.

Officials said the small quarter-acre blaze burned near Camarillo Airport.

The stubborn fire was burning out-of-control more than two hours after it was reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation but it didn’t appear to be suspicious, County Fire Captain Anthony Romero told the Ventura County Star.

No injuries were reported.
