Door Pinhole Camera Captures Burglars At Canoga Park Business

CANOGA PARK (CBSLA.com) — A pinhole camera lodged in the door of a Canoga Park business captured crystal clear video of a burglary in progress.

Nick Andrisano, the owner of the Ameci Pizza chain, said his corporate office in the 6600 block of Independence Avenue was broken into two weeks ago.

He said two men busted the front door's deadbolt and fled with two computer monitors.

"I still feel violated until I see these guys in jail," said Andrisano.

Andrisano told CBS2's Kristine Lazar that he believes the suspects may also be tied to a burglary inside his home three months ago.

In that incident, thieves stole $85,000 in cash and jewelry from inside his safe, which also held business paperwork that could have led them to the Ameci corporate office.

"There are eight units in this complex. Why pick us? I mean, there's a guitar place behind us that has more valuable stuff than us. We're just an office," said Andrisano.

The owner said he hopes the security video will help catch the suspects.

"The people from the LAPD, the two officers, they came here…they thought it was fantastic video. The best they'd ever seen," Andrisano said.

The investigation is ongoing.
