Authorities Search For Missing 13-Year-Old Boy In Palmdale

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are looking for a 13-year-old boy who disappeared in Palmdale Monday morning.

Nigel Hardy was reported missing at 9:15 a.m. in the 2300 block of West Avenue N-8, according to detectives from the sheriff's Palmdale Station.

Officials said the boy became despondent after he was temporarily suspended from school.

No threat was made against the boy's school in the note, but the unidentified campus was placed on a state of heightened awareness.

Hardy is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 130 pounds, with dark brown wavy hair. He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, dark pants and gray Nike shoes.

Anyone with information on the boy's whereabouts is asked to call (661) 272-2400.
