Investigation Continues Into Double Fatal Head-On Crash In Tustin

TUSTIN (CBSLA.com) —  Investigators Friday were still trying to determine the factors behind a head-on collision in Tustin that left two motorists dead.

The accident occurred about 10:45 p.m. Thursday at Jamboree Road, just south of Edinger Avenue.

Tustin Police Lt. Paul Garaven said a wrong-way driver -- identified Friday as 25-year-old Kaelyn Gereson of Rancho Santa Margarita -- was traveling southbound in the northbound lane.

The driver of the other vehicle was identified as Kenneth Olson Jr., 30, of Corona.

Officers responding to the accident call found the victims dead at the scene. The deceased were both the sole occupants of their vehicles, Garaven said.

It was not known whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Anyone with information about the crash was asked to contact Tustin police at (714) 573-3225.
