Crash Between Several Vehicles And McDonald's Truck Forces Closure Of 605 Freeway In Santa Fe Springs

SANTA FE SPRINGS (CBSLA.com) — A big rig crash and diesel fuel spill resulted in a SigAlert early Monday morning for all lanes of the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Santa Fe Springs, the California Highway Patrol said.

A McDonald's truck and at least three vehicles collided just after 4 a.m. at Telegraph Road, according to the CHP.

An unknown amount of diesel fuel from the big rig spilled onto the freeway as a result.

The CHP closed the onramp to the 605 Freeway at Telegraph for cleanup.

Two lanes were opened around 5:15 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

It was unclear when the freeway would be fully reopened.
